Scouting the Wildcats
Northwestern is playing its second game in three days following a 5-3 loss to Syracuse Friday night in Hempstead. The Wildcats have lost their last three games - Colorado, USC and Syracuse - by a total of four goals. 

Christina Esposito has scored 16 of Northwestern's 46 goals through five games. The Wildcats have scored 9.20 goals per game through five games.

Stony Brook is 1-1 all-time against Northwestern, as the two teams meet for the third consecutive year Sunday. The Seawolves defeated the then-No. 5 Wildcats in 2015 for Stony Brook's highest-ranked victory in program history before Northwestern took a 7-6 decision in Evanston March 12, 2016.

Senior Courtney Murphy scored five goals, while junior Kylie Ohlmiller had four goals and three assists as Stony Brook moved to 3-0 on the year. Sophomore Keri McCarthy tied the program single-game record with 12 draw controls.

This Day in Seawolves History: March 5
Stony Brook is 1-2 all-time on March 5, with the victory coming in a 19-17 win over Fairfield in 2005. The Seawolves were downed by Johns Hopkins in 2011 and No. 5/3 Duke by a 9-8 margin in 2012.

Tesoriero, Kennedy Earn Weekly America East Honors
Sophomore Anna Tesoriero was selected as America East Defensive Player of the Week Monday, while freshman Ally Kennedy was tabbed as Rookie of the Week after scoring a career-high four goals.

Senior Courtney Murphy, senior Dorrien Van Dyke and junior Kylie Ohlmiller were named to the Tewaaraton watch list Tuesday.

The Seawolves will travel to New Haven for a Wednesday night contest against Yale. Opening draw is slated for 7 p.m.
