STONY BROOK, N.Y. - The No. 5/6 Stony Brook women's lacrosse team squares off with a familiar foe Sunday as America East rival Albany comes to LaValle Stadium for Stony Brook's 2017 Alumnae Day.
Scouting the Great Danes
Albany is 5-3 on the year with all three defeats coming against top-10 teams. The Great Danes have won three straight games with victories over Wagner, Drexel and UMBC.
Sarah Martin leads the Great Danes with 31 goals, 48 points and 45 draw controls, while Dakotah Savitcheff has scored 22 goals in five games.
Series History vs. Albany
Sunday is the 21st meeting between the Seawolves and Great Danes, with Stony Brook holding a 13-7 advantage. The teams have met 10 times in the last five seasons, with the Seawolves going 9-1 in that time, including four straight America East Championship victories over the Great Danes.
What's at Stake
A victory Sunday would be the fifth-consecutive win for Stony Brook. It would also mark the sixth-consecutive 10-win season for the Seawolves.
