STONY BROOK, N.Y. - The Stony Brook women's lacrosse team begins its fifth-straight NCAA tournament appearance by hosting NEC champion Bryant Friday at 4:30 p.m. at LaValle Stadium.
Scouting the Bulldogs
Bryant is 13-4 on the year and riding a nine-game winning streak entering the NCAA tournament. Like the Seawolves, the Bulldogs did not lose a game against conference competition this season. Bryant has won the NEC in three of the five years in which it has been eligible since moving up from Division II.
Mount Sinai native Jess DeMeo leads the NEC with 54 goals this season, while Bryant features the nation's No. 7 scoring defense at 8.53 goals allowed per game.

The Seawolves and Bulldogs meet Friday for the second time this season and third time in two years. Stony Brook is 2-0 against Bryant with a 20-5 victory in the 2017 home opener Feb. 18 and an 18-4 win in the 2016 season opener in Rhode Island Feb. 28, 2016.
