STONY BROOK, N.Y. – After the biggest come-from-behind victory in school history and the program's first win over a Southeastern Conference opponent in the first two games of the 2018 Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame Tip-Off Tournament, the Stony Brook men's basketball team heads to Mohegan Sun Arena to culminate the tournament with a pair of games.

Stony Brook will face Holy Cross on Friday night at 6 p.m. to kick off the Springfield Bracket portion of the tournament. The Seawolves will then take on Siena or Norfolk State on Saturday at 8:30 p.m. or Sunday at 11 a.m. depending on the results of Friday night's contest.

HALL OF FAME TIP-OFF: The Seawolves wrap up their appearance in the 2018 edition this weekend after winning their two campus games in Washington, D.C., and Columbia, S.C.

WHAT SOPHOMORE SLUMP? Stony Brook sophomore Elijah Olaniyi (Newark, N.J.) has continued to build on his America East Rookie of the Year campaign a season ago, compiling a double-double against George Washington and following it up with a 16-point, nine-rebound effort against South Carolina.

MILES AHEAD: Stony Brook freshman Miles Latimer (Fairfax, Va.) has immediately proven to be a deep threat in his first 85 minutes of action in a Seawolves uniform. He leads Stony Brook in the early part of 2018, shooting 45.5 percent from the field and from three, resulting in 13 points per game.

TROPHY CHASING... IN NOVEMBER: For the second consecutive season, the Seawolves are opening the year with a preseason tournament. Stony Brook started last season with a game at Nassau Coliseum before participating in the PK80 Phil Knight Invitational, highlighted by a trip to then-No. 2
Michigan State.

POWER-FUL VICTORIES: The Seawolves defeated South Carolina 83-81 on Nov. 9 for the school's first-ever win over a Southeastern Conference opponent in its sixth try. It was the program's first-ever trip to Columbia to play the Gamecocks. Stony Brook has now recorded three wins over the Power 5 schools, with its last coming in 2014 when it defeated No. 13 Washington 62-57. The Seawolves also has two victories against the Big Ten, defeating Penn State 59-51 in 2006 and Rutgers 75-73 in 2017.

BE THERE: After finishing its appearance in the Naismith Hall of Fame Tip Off, the Seawolves return home for the first of their 13 home games this season on Wednesday to face Molloy before the Thanksgiving holiday. Don't miss out on a second of the action with 2018 season tickets, starting at $11.50 per game. Click here for more information.
