STONY BROOK, N.Y. – The Stony Brook men's basketball team officially released its full schedule for the 2026-27 season on Wednesday. The 32-game slate will feature 14 non-conference matchups followed by 18 CAA games.

The Seawolves open the season at home on November 2 vs. SUNY Old Westbury, followed by their first road trip of the season as they fly out to Illinois for a Power 4 matchup with Northwestern on Sunday the sixth.

The following week also begins on the road as the team heads to New Jersey to face Princeton on November 11. Stony Brook returns home to host SUNY Potsdam on the 17th, before heading back to Jersey on the 21st to take on Saint Peter's.

Next week sees the return of the Stony Brook Classic; the program's first home MTE since 2021. The action begins with Lindenwood vs. New Haven on November 24, before the Seawolves close out the event on the 25th in a pre-Thanksgiving bout with Lindenwood. After the holiday, former CAA foe Delaware returns to Long Island on the 28th to finish off the month.

December opens at home as the Seawolves play Maryland Eastern Shore on the second, before hitting the road to play Maine on the fifth as they look to make it 23 consecutive victories in the series. Then it is back home to host SUNY Canton (Dec. 8) and La Salle (Dec. 12), the latter marking just the second-ever game between the two programs, with the first coming 13 years ago at Madison Square Garden.

Then, on December 15, the Seawolves have another road game with a Big Ten opponent as they take on an Ohio State team fresh off its 36th NCAA tournament appearance. Stony Brook will end the week at home on December 18 when it hosts New Haven.

The Seawolves will conclude the non-conference schedule on the road when they head up to Rhode Island to face Brown on December 22. Stony Brook took last year's matchup 80-70 on Long Island.

Conference play gets underway at home with a New Year's Eve game vs. Monmouth. Then, two days later, Stony Brook makes the short drive over to Nassau country to take on reigning CAA champion Hofstra.

The team will then host Towson on January 9, before heading south on a three-game road trip to North Carolina featuring N.C. A&T (Jan. 14), Elon (Jan. 16), and Campbell (Jan. 18).

The Seawolves are back home for the first time in nearly two weeks on January 21 to host William & Mary, before once again hitting the road to play at Northeastern on the 23rd. Right after this is a four-game homestand that sees Hampton (Jan. 28), Drexel (Jan. 30), Elon (Feb. 4), and Campbell (Feb. 6) arrive on the Island.

Next week sees another trip to the Carolinas, with Stony Brook playing Charleston on February 11 and 2026 CAA Regular Season Champion UNCW two days later. The team returns home the following week to finish off the season series vs. Hofstra on February 20.

The final road trip of the season takes the squad to Philadelphia for their second game with Drexel on February 25, followed by a trip to the Jersey Shore to play Monmouth on the 27th. Stony Brook will close out the regular season back home on March 2 against Northeastern. Then it is off to Washington D.C. for the CAA Championships held from March 5-9 in CareFirst Arena.

The conference schedule is subject to change for television purposes.
