PORTLAND, M.E. Stony Brook women's basketball travels to Portland, Maine, this weekend to begin postseason play in the America East Championship. The No. 4 Seawolves will square off with No. 5 New Hampshire on Saturday, March 3 at 2:15 p.m. – the second-straight year the two programs have met in the America East quarterfinal round.

2017-18 Season
• Stony Brook finished the 2017-18 regular season winning 10 of its last 13 contests, posting an overall record of 18-11 (10-6 AE) to earn the No. 4 seed in the postseason conference tournament.
• The Seawolves earned 18 total wins during the regular season, the most under head coach Caroline McCombs since she took over as head coach of the program prior to the start of the 2014-15 season.

Scouting New Hampshire
• No. 5 New Hampshire finished the regular season with an 18-11 (9-7 AE) overall record, winning three of its last four contests.
• The Wildcats feature two of the top 10 scorers in the America East this season. Carlie Pogue has posted 15.1 points per game so far, while Olivia Healy has scored 12.7 points per contest. Pogue is one of just three players in program history to score at least 1,500 points and have 700 rebounds in her career.
• Stony Brook and New Hampshire split the season series this year. The Wildcats won the first matchup between the two programs (51-50) on Jan. 21 at Island Federal Credit Union Arena, then the Seawolves earned the win (62-56) on Feb. 17 in Durham.
• The Seawolves are 16-24 all-time vs. UNH (Division I era) heading into Saturday's contest. The Wildcats have won four of the last five meetings, including last year's America East Quarterfinal matchup (58-49) on March 4, 2017.
• After Saturday's contest, Stony Brook and UNH will have met in four of the last six postseasons.

Head Coach Caroline McCombs
Caroline McCombs is in her fourth season as the head coach of the Stony Brook women's basketball team in 2017-18, as the Seawolves' head coach has risen among the winningest coaches in Stony Brook's Division I era.
• With 18 victories so far in the 2017-18 season, McCombs has now won 64 games on Long Island – which ranks second among Stony Brook coaches in the Division I era. McCombs guided the Seawolves' program to 17 wins in 2014-15, 17 victories in 2015-16, and 12 wins in 2016-17.

Chasing the Program's 3-Point Record
• The Seawolves have sunk 184 3-point field goals so far in 2017-18, needing just two more to break the program's all-time single-season record (185), which was set in 2016-17.
