Stony Brook women's lacrosse continues its four-game home stand on Sunday afternoon, hosting conference foe New Hampshire at 12 p.m. for the Seawolves' 2018 Senior Day.
Senior Day
- The Seawolves will honor their 10 seniors prior to Sunday's contest (Carolyn Carrera, Emily Marlow, Emma Schait, Torrye Zullo, Samantha DiSalvo, Vincenza Patrone, Kylie Ohlmiller, Courtney Murphy, Tiffany Zullo, Brooke Gubitosi).
- Over the past four-plus seasons, the Seawolves' senior class has been a part of 85 total wins to date – guiding the program to new heights on a national level.
- Stony Brook has recorded five-straight America East Championships and NCAA Tournament appearances under the guidance of the class of 2018, achieving the program's first No. 1 national ranking just three weeks into the 2018 season.
Kylie Ohlmiller Nears NCAA Points, Assists Records
- Kylie Ohlmiller enters action with a team-best 93 points (57 goals, 36 assists). She is now just 12 total points away from breaking the NCAA Division I career record for total points scored, and just 12 assists away from the NCAA Division I career mark for helpers.
- Ohlmiller scored 11 total points on Friday night during Kylie Ohlmiller Bobblehead Night, tallying six goals and five assist to help lead the No. 1 Seawolves past Johns Hopkins.
Courtney Murphy Sets the NCAA Career Goals Record
- After scoring five times at Hartford on Thursday, April 5, Courtney Murphy now holds the NCAA Division I career record for goals scored. Murphy now has 298 career scores in 79 games played.
No. 1 In The Polls
- Stony Brook women's lacrosse has been ranked No. 1 nationally in all three major polls for the seventh-straight week.
- After topping No. 20 Denver at LaValle Stadium in their 2018 home opener, the Seawolves earned the top spot in all three major polls for the first time in program history (IWLCA Coaches' Poll, Cascade/Inside Lacrosse, Nike/US Lacrosse), as announced on Monday, Feb. 26.
- Stony Brook has now won 13-straight contests to begin the 2018 season, downing seven nationally-ranked teams along the way. The Seawolves have outscored opponents 222-79 thus far.
Scouting New Hampshire
- Johns Hopkins enters action at 6-7 overall (4-0 AE) so far in 2018, most recently falling vs. Boston University on the road.
- Carly Wooters has paced the program offensively, scoring 31 goals to go along with five assists for a team-best 36 points. Krissy Schaffer has tallied a team-high 35 goals so far for the Wildcats.
- The Seawolves are 11-7 all-time vs. UNH, winning nine-straight contests against the Wildcats.
Head Coach Joe Spallina
- Seawolves' head coach Joe Spallina is currently in his seventh season with the program, owning a 116-20 overall record at Stony Brook
- The engineer of the nation's best turnaround in 2012 and winningest coach in program history after only three seasons, Spallina has guided the Seawolves to five consecutive America East titles and NCAA Tournament appearances.
- Under Spallina, Stony Brook has produced 12 IWLCA All-Americans, seven Tewaaraton nominees, one Tewaaraton finalist, five conference championships, five NCAA Tournament second-round berths and an NCAA quarterfinal appearance.
Offensive Firepower
- The Seawolves lead the nation in points per game (28.00) and average scoring margin (+11.25)
- Three Seawolves rank in the Top 15 nationally in points per contest. Kylie Ohlmiller ranks No. 1 nationally (6.83 PPG), Courtney Murphy ranks No. 5 (5.67 PPG), and Taryn Ohlmiller ranks No. 11 (5.08 PPG)
Dominant Defense
- The Seawolves currently have the nation's best defense, giving up just 6.00 goals per contests.
- Junior goalkeeper Anna Tesoriero owns a 6.34 goals-against average through 12 games – which ranks No. 1 nationally and best in the America East.
Assists on Assists
- Stony Brook has assisted on 138 of 222 goals so far this season, ranking No. 1 nationally in helpers per contest (10.6).
Limiting Miscues
- The Seawolves have recorded just 12.00 turnovers per game in the first 13 contests of the season, which also ranks No. 1 nationally.
Dangerous on the Draw
- Keri McCarthy ranks No. 7 nationally, and No. 1 in the America East in draw controls per contest (7.25)
- McCarthy tallied 16 draw controls – a new single-game program record – on March 30, 2018 vs. Vermont
- McCarthy has 95 draw controls in 2018, needing just 12 more to break her own single-season program record (106).
There's No Place Like Home
- The Seawolves have been dominant at LaValle Stadium over the last seven seasons, posting a 64-5 record at home (a .927 winning percentage) since the start of the 2012 season.
- Stony Brook went 11-0 at home in 2017, and has now won 27-straight games at LaValle Stadium.

2017 Season
- Stony Brook is coming off its best season in program history, going 20-2 in 2017. The Seawolves fell at Maryland in the NCAA Quarterfinal round after winning its fifth-straight America East title on May 7, 2017.
- The Seawolves won 20 games in a season for the first time in program history, topping Bryant and Northwestern in NCAA Tournament action.

All-American Selections
- Seven Stony Brook women's lacrosse players were tabbed Inside Lacrosse Preseason Division I All-Americans, the publication announced heading into the 2018 season.
- Courtney Murphy, Kylie Ohlmiller, and Brooke Gubitosi, were selected to the First Team, Taryn Ohlmiller, was awarded Third Team honors, and Keri McCarthy, Mackenzie Burns, and Anna Tesoriero, were named to the Honorable Mention squad.
