LOWELL, Ma. – Stony Brook head coach
Matt Senk collected his 800
th career victory on Friday afternoon the Seawolves' America East Conference doubleheader split against UMass Lowell at LeLacheur Park.
The Seawolves (29-22, 12-11 AE) claimed game one, 3-0, while the River Hawks (23-27, 12-11 AE) took game two, 2-0. Both UMass Lowell and Stony Brook remain in a second-place tie in the America East standings with one game to play.
Game One Turning Point
Stony Brook was able to break a scoreless tie in the seventh inning when senior LF
Andruw Gazzola (Coram, N.Y.) walked to open the inning, senior 3B
Bobby Honeyman (Massapequa, N.Y.) reached on an error on a bunt attempt, sophomore 1B
Chris Hamilton (Schenectady, N.Y.) bunted the runners over and sophomore RF
Michael Wilson (Colonia, N.J.) hit a sacrifice fly that scored Gazzola from third. That run would end up being all the Seawolves would need.
Game Two Turning Point
UMass Lowell plated one run in the bottom of the first inning to provide all the offense needed for the win.

- Senior RHP Aaron Pinto (West Covina, Calif.) earned his 11th save of the season and 14th of his career in game one on Friday. His 14 career saves ties him with former teammate Cam Stone for the career record at Stony Brook.
- Sophomore RHP Greg Marino (Lake Grove, N.Y.) picked up his sixth win of the season in game one. He now has eight career victories.
- Junior 2B Brandon Janofsky (Jackson, N.J.) had two singles in game two on Friday for his 6th multi-hit game of the season.
- Senior LHP Teddy Rodliff (Quincy, Ma.) made his 76th career appearance in game two on Friday, breaking Stony Brook's career record for appearances.
