EASTON, Pa. -- Sophomore goalkeeper
Yamil Montenegro (Merida, Mexico) picked up his first career shutout as the Stony Brook men's soccer team played Lafayette to a scoreless draw on Tuesday night from Oaks Stadium. With the result, the Seawolves move to 3-8-2 (0-3-0 AE) while the Leopards sit at 8-3-2 (4-1-0 Patriot).
Quoting head coach Ryan Anatol
"Tonight I feel a little dissatisfied leaving with a tie. I thought we deserved more. Our guys carried the game for large periods and created some really good chances. But we also defended well when we needed to. This group continues to show up and fight for each other and I am looking forward to now having a few days of preparation and getting back onto the field this Saturday."
Highlights

- In the 72nd minute, freshman Danny Jara (Queens, N.Y.) had a look at the goal but his shot hit the post and the contest remained scoreless.
