Stony Brook to Appear Six Times on Regional/National TV This Season

STONY BROOK, N.Y. – The Stony Brook men's basketball program will be featured on regional and national television six times this 2019-20 season, starting with the team's opener on November 5 against Yale, which will be televised on SNY.

Three Seawolves basketball games, all slated for 7 p.m., will be featured on the home of four Stony Brook football games, as well as the New York Mets. The other two games are the December 7 contest against Brown and a February 1 matchup with UMBC.

Stony Brook will be featured nationally three times this year, highlighted by a matchup with reigning national champion Virginia in Charlottesville, Va. on December 18. That game will be televised on ACC Network at 6:30 p.m.

Two BIG East matchups will be on the FOX Sports family of networks, with the Seton Hall game being televised on November 9 at 2:30 p.m. on Fox Sports Networks. The Stony Brook-Providence matchup will be on FOX Sports 1 beginning at 8 p.m. on December 14.

There is a potential for a seventh Stony Brook television game this season on the America East's annual ESPNU contest scheduled for February 20, the night the Seawolves host Vermont. As for the rest of the season, all America East and non-TV home men's basketball contests will be broadcast on either ESPN3 or ESPN+.
