HEMPSTEAD, N.Y. - Fresh off the victory at Brown on Saturday, the Stony Brook men's lacrosse team returns to the field on Tuesday when they travel west on 495 to take on Long Island rival Hofstra at 7 p.m. at
James M. Shuart Stadium.
The Seawolves (1-1) defeated Brown in Providence on Saturday behind a hat trick from junior attacker
Tom Haun and a 12 save afternoon by junior goalkeeper
Michael Bollinger. The Pride (2-1) saw their season-opening win streak snapped with a tough 10-9 overtime loss at Villanova on Saturday.
SEAWOLVES NOTES
• Stony Brook, the co-regular season America East Conference champions in 2018, were slated second in the preseason conference poll selected by the coaches. The Seawolves received three first-place votes and 32 points to fall just behind UAlbany's 33 points and three first-place votes.
• Stony Brook returns the top 10 goal scorers from last year's squad that includes junior
Tom Haun who posted 22 goals in 2018 and junior
Chris Pickel Jr.'s 21 goals from a year ago.
• The Seawolves also return the top 12 players that dished out assists in 2018 led by sophomore
Jack Walsh's 25.

• Stony Brook rebounded from the season-opening loss to Penn State with a 13-11 victory at Brown this past Saturday. Junior attacker
