BOSTON -- Stony Brook men's lacrosse senior LSM
Ryland Rees (Port Coquitlan, B.C.) was selected by the Boston Cannons of the Major League Lacrosse with the 27th overall pick in the league's draft held this past weekend.
Rees, named to the All-World Team this past summer after helping Canada to the silver medal at the 2018 FIL World Championships, has played in 45 career games for the Seawolves and had collected 18 career points and collected 148 ground ball during his career. He was also recently named to the 2019 Tewaaraton Watch List.
The Cannons picked Rees with the 27th overall pick, the final selection of the third round. Boston opens the season at home on June 1 against the Ohio Machine.
