Stony Brook returns three of its top four scorers in league play from a season ago, led by junior
Elijah Olaniyi (Newark, N.J.), who averaged 12.1 per game, and redshirt-junior
Andrew Garcia (Harlem, N.Y.) who had nine points and six rebounds per night in America East play during the 2018-19 campaign.
The Seawolves are coming off a 24-win season and are poised for a deep run under Ford, who is entering his first year as head coach of the program. The season opens on November 5 when the Yale Bulldogs come to Island Federal Arena. It will be the first time since the 2016-17 season that Stony Brook opens the campaign at home and the third time an Ivy League school opens the year in the arena since it debuted for the 2014-15 season.
