HAMMOND, La. — The Stony Brook baseball team was held in check offensively on Friday night, falling in the series opener to Southeastern Louisiana, 11-0.
The host started hot against starter
Jared Milch, scoring four in the opening frame on a two-run single and two-run homer to earn all the runs it needed.
Southeastern Louisiana (4-5) scored in each of the first four frames to build an 8-0 lead.
Milch logged four innings.

Brett Paulsen continued his hot stretch, recording hits in two of four at-bats.
Evan Giordano recorded a hit in his eighth consecutive game to open the season with a ninth-inning single.

Eric Foster made his collegiate debut. The Sayville, N.Y., native struck out a batter in a scoreless inning of relief.
The teams return to the diamond for a 3 p.m. first pitch on Saturday.
