Women’s Lacrosse Announces Addition of Transfer Kaeli Huff

USC transfer Kaeli Huff will join the Stony Brook women's lacrosse team for the 2021 season.
STONY BROOK, N.Y. — The Stony Brook women's lacrosse team will be loaded and ready to go in 2021.

Head coach Joe Spallina announced that graduate transfer Kaeli Huff will join the Seawolves for her final season of eligibility following a standout career at USC.

"We could not be more excited to add a player and person like Kaeli to our program," Spallina said. "She is someone I have watched in high school as an All-American and through college as a standout midfielder. To be able to add a talent like Kaeli to our team is enormous and we could not be happier. Welcome home!"

The midfielder was a big contributor for the Women of Troy from the beginning, starting 63 of the 66 contests she appeared in during her undergraduate career. In those 66 games, she tallied 86 goals, 16 assists, 79 ground balls, 46 caused turnovers and 19 draw controls.

Last season, Huff helped USC to both the Pac-12 regular-season and tournament titles and was an all-conference first-team selection as a sophomore in 2018.

"I am so excited to have the opportunity to play for Coach Spallina, Coach Hillier, Coach Miceli and for a program like Stony Brook," Huff said. "Being able to play for such a talented program right on Long Island is something I'm so grateful for. I'm looking forward to joining this team and a great 2021 season as a Seawolf."

Huff, an Eastport native, was a five-year letterwinner at Eastport-South Manor High School. She was a two-time U.S. Lacrosse All-American and led the Sharks to their first-ever state title in 2015.
