LONG BEACH, Calif. — The America East's best rookie is among the nation's best.
Stony Brook men's soccer freshman
Jonas Bickus is named to TopDrawerSoccer's Freshmen Top 100 list, a selection of the top first-year players in the country. The Klaipeda, Lithuania native finished the year leading the squad with four goals and 15 starts during his first season at Stony Brook.
That stat line helped him to America East Rookie of the Year honors, the Seawolves' third in the last seven seasons. He joins Christian Miesch and Serge Gamwanya as Stony Brook players to earn the accolade since 2015.
He is also the only America East player listed in the rankings.
The forward also helped lead the Seawolves to its most wins (eight) since the 2018 campaign and the most wins at LaValle Stadium (five) since the 2011 season.
