STONY BROOK, N.Y. — In the history of the America East Men's Lacrosse Rookie of the Week Award, Stony Brook redshirt freshman attackman Dylan Pallonetti stands alone.

After a hat trick against Vermont during the final weekend of the regular season, Pallonetti claimed his seventh conference rookie weekly honor of 2021 on Monday.

Seven America East Rookie of the Week awards is the most since the honor debuted in 1995.

UAlbany's Tehoka Nanticoke had a previous-best six weekly rookie awards in 2018.

UAlbany's Connor Fields in 2015 and Stony Brook's Mike Rooney in 2012 were five-time winners.

The Seawolves dominated the award in 2008, with Kevin Crowley and Jordan McBride winning three times apiece.

Stony Brook's Bo Tripodi had four AE Rookie of the Week awards in 2005, while Jason Cappadoro had three in 2003 and Steve Conlon had three in 2002.

Pallonetti also contributed two assists in a buzzer-beating 14-13 loss to the Catamounts in Burlington on Saturday.

He leads Stony Brook in goals (34), assists (19) and points (53) — the assist figure tied with Cory Van Ginhoven.

The third-seeded Seawolves will face second-seeded Vermont again in an America East semifinal on Thursday at 4 p.m. in Baltimore.
