STONY BROOK, N.Y. — Ally Kennedy's remarkable week continues.

Kennedy on Thursday became the first player in Stony Brook history to be named Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association Midfielder of the Year.

Previously this week, Kennedy was tabbed one of four finalists for the Honda Award for women's lacrosse, was named an IWLCA All-American and was selected second overall in the startup Athletes United draft.

She will spend the rest of the week in Sparks, Md., competing for a spot on Team USA for the 2022 Women's World Championship.
 
Kennedy is a three-time IWLCA All-American and a three-time America East Midfielder of the Year.

She became the third player in program history to score her 200th career goal and finished her career with 266, while also adding 63 assists, 343 draw controls, 180 ground balls and 59 caused turnovers.

As the America East Tournament's Most Outstanding Player this past season, she set a tournament record with 12 goals in two games and matched a tournament record with seven goals against UMBC.
