RICHMOND, Va. — As the season draws near, two Seawolves found themselves in prominent league recognition ahead of the Colonial Athletic Association's annual Media Day on Tuesday.
Offensive lineman
Kyle Nunez and tight end
Anthony Del Negro are the Stony Brook honorees on the squad with kickoff just over five weeks away. The two are the regulars on All-CAA squads, with Nunez being selected for three in a row during his standout career and Del Negro being honored with a First Team All-CAA selection after the shortened Spring 2021 campaign.
Nunez is coming off a decorated season this spring, earning a host of honors including STATS and AFCA postseason All-American Honors, as well as a First Team All-CAA selection during he 2021 campaign.
Stony Brook is ready for a full slate ahead of its fall 2021 journey that includes five home games at Kenneth P. LaValle Stadium. The home opener is slated for Thursday, Sept. 2 as it hosts New Hampshire at 6 p.m.
