THE MATCHUP: Stony Brook has compiled a (3-5) all-time record against Towson and welcome the Tigers to Long Island for the first time since November 9, 2019. Stony Brook and Towson last met on October 9, 2021, with the Tigers earning a narrow 21-14 victory in Maryland.
Ty Son Lawton led the Seawolves on the ground with 119 yards rushing and a pair of touchdowns. The Seawolves last defeated Towson on September 23, 2017, when it picked up a 25-17 victory at LaValle Stadium. The teams first went head-to-head on September 28, 2013, during Stony Brook's first season as a member of the CAA.

NO TASK IS TOO TALL FOR TALLARICO: Ross Tallarico was converted from defensive back to running back prior to the season has started three out of the last six games at tailback for the Seawolves and shined. The Long Island native has rushed for 406 yards on 116 carries and three touchdowns, caught 12 passes for 105 yards and two touchdowns, and completed one pass for 55 yards that went for a touchdown. He totaled a career-high 36 rushing attempts, 151 rushing yards, and two rushing touchdowns in the Seawolves' Week 9 win at home over Morgan State.
