STONY BROOK, N.Y. – There was no shortage of scoring at Island Federal Arena on Saturday night as the Seawolves knocked off the Hartford Hawks, 88-82, to improve to 16-11, 8-6 America East on the season. Stony Brook's 88 points are a new season-high and the team's most since it scored 91 points against Farmingdale State on November 11, 2019.
The Seawolves were paced by a trio that scored in double figures with redshirt junior guard Anthony Roberts leading the way with a game-high tying 27 points. Redshirt junior guard Tykei Greene registered his sixth double-double of the season with 21 points and a team-best 10 rebounds.
Both Roberts and Greene have scored 20 points or more in four out of the last five games. The duo has scored 20 points in the same game three times over their last four outings (both scored 20 or more vs. UMass Lowell on Feb. 9, at UMBC on Feb. 16, and vs. Hartford on Feb. 19).
