STONY BROOK, N.Y. — Senior guard Dean Noll is the latest Stony Brook men's basketball signee, bringing more experience into the Seawolves' backcourt.

The Medford, N.J., native spent four years at Cornell, earning All-Ivy League second team honors in his final campaign. During Ivy play, he led his team in minutes (25.9), scoring (12.9), rebounding (4.1) and assists (3.1), while totaling 23 steals, which was second on the squad.

"Dean is a huge addition for our program," head coach Geno Ford said. "He is a versatile guard, who was an all-conference player at Cornell. He can play both ends of the floor and is able to make plays for other guys. He will provide a veteran feel for the game and is a good leader."

Noll recorded 14 games in double figures this season, including in nine of his last 11 with the Big Red. He opened Ivy League play with 20 points and a season high 7 rebounds against Dartmouth and continued his strong play throughout the rest of the season. Noll had five consecutive double figure scoring games capped off with a season high 23 points in a win against Columbia.

"I'm looking forward to competing for a CAA championship and learning more from such a great coaching staff," the Cornell grad said. "I'm excited to join the winning culture at Stony Brook and can't wait to arrive on campus and get to work."
