Luke Coulter Secures First-Place Finish in the 800 Meter at Mark Young Invitational

NEW HAVEN, Conn. - The Stony Brook men's track and field team competed at the Mark Young Invitational at Yale University on Saturday.
 
Graduate Luke Coulter highlighted the day for the Seawolves with his first-place finish in the 800 meter with a final time of 1:48.48.
 
Senior Miles Ryan secured a second-place finish and a new personal best in the 400 meter hurdles with a final time of 55.57.
 
HIGHLIGHTS

  • Ryan secured a second-place finish and a new personal best in the 400 meter hurdles with a final time of 55.57. Ryan also earned a fourth-place finish in the 110 meter hurdles with a final time of 14.77.
  • Patrick Abel earned a fifth-place finish in the 100 meter with a final time of 10.78.
  • Nicolas Lavazoli secured a fourth-place finish anf a new personal best in the 200 meter with a final time of 21.62.
  • Richmond Boateng crossed the line in 49.32 to earn a fifth-place finish in the 400 meter. Matthew Cappock followed behind in seventh with a final time of 49.67.
  • Aiden Smyth clocked in at 3:56.25 which was good for a ninth-place finish in the 1500 meter.
  • Joshua Titus earned a third-place finish with a final time of 14.71.
  • Sebastian Ramos secured a first-place finish in the javelin throw with a final mark of 46.23m.
  • The 4x100 meter relay squad comprised of Anthony Urbancik, Josias Luctamar, Justin Vazquez, and Ramos earned a second-place finish with a final time of 43.54. \

"Both teams competed well today across the board. On the men's side, we had good scoring efforts throughout the squad, but the strongest performances came from Luke (800), and Miles and Joshua in the 110 hurdles. On the women's side, again many top six finishes. The highlights from today were Nadja's and Kaylee's one, two finish in the 400 meter along with the two relay wins in the 4x100m and 4x400m," said head coach Andrew Ronan.
 
UP NEXT
The Seawolves are back on the track Apr. 28 – Apr. 30 when they travel to Philadelphia, Pa. to compete in the Penn Relays.
