STONY BROOK, N.Y. — A three-year standout in attack for Holy Cross, the Stony Brook women's lacrosse program and head coach
Joe Spallina announced the addition of Jolie Creo to the 2023 roster on Thursday morning.
Creo, a second team All-Patriot League honoree and native of Rockville Centre, N.Y., joins the Seawolves after after totaling 56 goals and 82 points in 15 starts for Holy Cross during the 2022 campaign. She totaled 12 hat tricks, including six games of five goals or more to lead Holy Cross in scoring during the year.
"Jolie is a big time scorer and is going to provide our team with a nice offensive boost," Spallina said. "She is a Long Island native and we are really excited to add her to our team."
She led the Patriot League and was sixth in the country in points per game, finishing at a 5.47 clip. She was also 11th in goals per game, leading the conference with a 3.73 average. The former two-time, All-Nassau County selection also finished third in the conference in assists per game, dishing 1.73 per contest. She also totaled 17 of Holy Cross' 42 goals during the first week of March in matchups with Brown, Bryant and Long Island.
During her junior campaign, she set the school's single-game record with 11 points, totaling eight goals and three assists against Merrimack on March 17. She had a pair of double-figure point performances this season, totaling 10 against Long Island and Lafayette.
The former South Side standout helps bolster a Seawolves attack that finished last season with a 14.84 goals per game average and outscored their opponents on average by 8.21 goals, a margin that is good for fifth in the country.
