Kaiser Earns Second Shutout, Men's Soccer Plays to Scoreless Draw at Seton Hall

SOUTH ORANGE, N.J. - The Stony Brook University men's soccer team played to a scoreless draw at Seton Hall on Tuesday evening at Owen T. Carroll Field. The result extends the Seawolves' unbeaten streak to six straight matches.

Stony Brook started quick offensively, creating chances in the offensive third in the opening five minutes of play. A pair of corner kicks led to shots from Amit Magoz and Alex Fleury, forcing Seton Hall's Mat Roordas to make an early save. The Pirates responded, sending three shots towards Edmond Kaiser, forcing the graduate keeper to make one stop to keep the match level.

Despite late first-half chances from Caleb Danquah and Johan Velez, the match would remind scoreless heading into the second half in New Jersey. Seton Hall controlled possession early on in the final stanza, but Kaiser was again up to the task on multiple occasions. Neither side could generate a score in the match, sending both sides home with a point in the mid-week, non-conference tilt.
