STONY BROOK, N.Y. - Stony Brook University men's basketball head coach Geno Ford announced the addition of Quin Gorman to the program for the 2024-25 season. Gorman signed his National Letter of Intent to join Stony Brook on Wednesday during National Signing Day.

Gorman, a 6-8 forward plays scholastically at Flint Hill School in Oakton, Va. and on the AAU circuit for Team AKT.

"Quin is a versatile and athletic forward who competes on both ends of the floor," Ford said. "He is highly skilled and we are excited about his ability to play both inside and on the perimeter. He plays with an edge defensively and has the ability to guard multiple positions."

During his junior season, Gorman averaged 15.6 points, 10.5 rebounds, 3.8 assists and 2.2 blocks per game. Earlier this year, Gorman helped Team AKT win the 17U Platinum Spartans Spring Jam Fest Championship, finishing with 14 points and six rebounds in a semifinal victory and a team-high 17 points in the championship game.

"I chose Stony Brook because of the family environment that I saw," Gorman said. "I am super excited to be a part of the process as a Seawolf!"
