NEWARK, Del. – The Stony Brook baseball team (19-24, 10-12 CAA) had their four game conference winning-streak come to a close tonight in Delaware after falling to the Blue Hens (22-24, 11-11 CAA), 12-11.
The Seawolves erupted for 14 hits this evening as the squad had five different student-athletes record multi-hit performances.
After graduate right-hander Ben Fero allowed a run in the first inning, the Seawolves answered with two runs of their own in the following frame. Senior Derek Yalon knocked in junior Matt Brown-Eiring on a double to left field and fellow junior Ryan Micheli followed with his first of three hits in the game by knocking in junior Matt Miceli to give Stony Brook the 2-1 lead.
The Blue Hens wouldn't go away and responded with a run of their own to tie the game at 2-2 in the second. But, the Seawolves again bounced right back to take the lead. This time, Brown-Eiring did the damage by launching his eighth home run of the season to allow Stony Brook to take a 3-2 advantage in the fourth.

But, Delaware responded with six runs of their own in the sixth inning and another run in the seventh to go up 12-10.
