STONY BROOK, N.Y. – Stony Brook football finished up its first intrasquad scrimmage, marking its eighth day of practice in 2023 training camp Wednesday morning.
The scrimmage featured two touchdowns from the offense, a pass from quarterback
Casey Case to
Jayce Freeman and a rush by
Jayden Cook. The defense had a takeaway from an interception by
Jaxon Witherspoon.
Head Coach
Chuck Priore noted a strong eight days of camp thus far and that certain situations were emphasized in Wednesday's scrimmage. He also noted the players' focus and willingness to learn from the scrimmage.
The Seawolves have one more intrasquad scrimmage set for its preseason slate, which will occur on Aug. 19 at 7 p.m. at LaValle Stadium.
Stony Brook will kick off the 2023 season against conference foe Delaware on Aug. 31 at 7 p.m. Fans can
