OAKVILLE, ONTARIO, CANADA - Stony Brook University men's lacrosse rising senior Noah Armitage heard his name called during the 2023 National Lacrosse League Entry Draft on Saturday afternoon. The Seawolves' midfielder was selected with the 27th pick in the second round by the San Diego Seals.

"We are so excited for Noah to realize his dream of being drafted in the NLL," Stony Brook men's lacrosse head coach Anthony Gilardi said. "We have seen Noah develop and grow over these last four years into an elite player, leader and most importantly person. We are lucky to have him for one more season before he heads to the NLL."

The New Westminster, British Columbia native played in 16 contests last season, posting career highs in goals (26), assists (19) and points (45), helping Stony Brook advance all the way to the CAA Championship game in the program's inaugural season in the league. Armitage's junior season culminated with an All-CAA First Team nod. Off of the field, Armitage enjoyed success as well, earning USILA Scholar All-American honors.

Armitage joins recent Seawolves graduates Matt Anderson, Chris Merle, Mike McCannell, Patrick Kaschalk, Harrison Matsuoka, Ryland Rees, Challen Rogers and Brody Eastwood as NLL Draft selections. Armitage becomes the 14th student-athlete to be drafted in program history, dating back to Rhys Duch's selection in 2008, and the eighth overall in the last six seasons.
