CAA Announces 2023-24 Men's Basketball Conference Schedule

RICHMOND, Va. - The Coastal Athletic Association unveiled its 2023-24 league slate on Tuesday afternoon. Conference play for the Seawolves is highlighted by a three-game home stretch that kicks off with the Batte of Long Island against Hofstra (Jan. 22) and home contests against Charleston, UNC Wilmington and Delaware.

Teams will play an 18-game conference schedule against all 13 league foes that features five repeat opponents, four home-only opponents and four away-only opponents. In total, each team will play nine home games and nine road games. With the official announcement of its CAA opponents and dates, the 2023-24 Stony Brook men's basketball schedule is complete.

Following the turn of the calendar into the New Year, Stony Brook begins league play on the road at Northeastern on Jan. 4. The Seawolves return that weekend to host the defending CAA Champion Charleston Cougars on Jan. 6.

After three more road contests, Stony Brook opens up a three-game homestand with a Monday evening matchup against Long Island rival Hofstra on Jan. 22. The Seawolves then welcome Monmouth (Jan. 25) and UNC Wilmington (Jan. 27) to close the month.

Stony Brook stays local to begin February, heading to Hempstead to take on the Pride on Feb. 1 and returning to Island Federal Arena on Feb. 3 to wrap up the season series with Northeastern. The next week sees the Seawolves head down south to face Elon and Campbell, the conference's newest member, on Feb. 8 and 10, respectively.

Four of the final six CAA contests are scheduled to be played at Island Federal Arena, as Stony Brook looks to make a push deeper into the CAA postseason in year two. The Seawolves host Hampton (Feb. 15), North Carolina A&T (Feb. 22), William & Mary (Feb. 24) and Delaware (March 2) in the season-finale at home. Road contests at Monmouth (Feb. 17) and Drexel (Feb. 29) round out the 2023-24 conference slate for Stony Brook.

The 2024 Jersey Mike's CAA Men's Basketball Championship is set to be played March 8-12 at the Entertainment & Sports Arena in Washington, D.C.
