NEW YORK, N.Y. - The Stony Brook University women's track and field team wrapped up competition at the 2024 CAA Indoor Track and Field Championships on Friday. Fiona McLoughlin earned a bronze medal in the 3K, while multiple other Seawolves scored points to help Stony Brook finish ninth as a team.

HIGHLIGHTS

• McLoughlin finished third in the 3K, earning points with a 9:30.52 finish.
• Grace Weigele took fifth in the 3K, crossing in 9:33.88 to secure points for her squad.
• Danella Dawkins placed eighth in the 60-meter hurdles to earn a point.
• Rebecca Clackett ran a 4:57.33 mile, finishing eighth and earning a point.
• The women's 4x800 relay team (Samantha Rutt, Olivia Simonetti, Clackett, Paulina Gasparis and Julia Samuelson) earned points, finishing eighth.
• The 4x400 quartet of Enyero Omokeni, Kyra Franks, Jasmine Mason Rudolph and Dawkins finished eighth, securing points for the Seawolves.

"Fiona completed a tough double by taking third in the 3K," head coach Andy Ronan said. "Over the two days I feel both teams represented themselves and the program well. We had some great individual efforts and hopefully those that didn't perform up to their expectations can learn from this experience and be better next time."

The Seawolves return to action next weekend in Boston, Mass. at the IC4A/ECAC Championship on March 2 and 3.
