STONY BROOK, N.Y. – Stony Brook University is set to host its sixth annual Giving Day on Wednesday, March 27. Giving Day is an opportunity for the Seawolves community to support the many robust programs and initiatives that the athletics department has to offer.
To showcase the power of collective impact, this year's goal is to set a new department record of 500 gifts.
During the 2023 fiscal year, Stony Brook Athletics celebrated its strongest Giving Day to date this year, raising over $137,000 from 402 donors. Including several generous Giving Day matches and challenges, Giving Day resulted in over $330,000 in philanthropic support generated for Stony Brook Athletics.

- 2019 Giving Day (April) – $22,195 raised, 230 Donors
- Seawolves In Need (Spring 2020) – $25,615 raised, 155 Donors
- 2020 Giving Day (October) – $23,830 raised, 259 Donors
- 2021 Giving Day (April) – $35,123, 358 Donors
- 2022 Giving Day (April) - $57,350, 372 Donors
- 2023 Giving Day (March) – $137,599 raised ($330,026 generated including matches & challenges), 402 Donors
On March 27, more than 100 academic units, clubs, athletic teams, clinical departments, student enrichment programs and other causes that matter most to you will be vying for your support.
