STONY BROOK, N.Y. – After making their way into the postseason for the first time as a member of the CAA last year, the Stony Brook men's soccer team announced its full schedule for the 2024 season. The Seawolves will square off in 16 matches consisting of eight non-conference opponents and eight CAA foes.

Ryan Anatol is set to enter his 14
th season at the helm of the program and the Seawolves are coming off of a third-place finish, going 6-6-5 overall and seeing five student-athletes earn All-CAA recognition.
"We are thrilled about the upcoming season. The CAA continues to be one of the most competitive conferences in the country. Additionally, we look forward to a competitive slate against some local and regional rivals and matches against top-tier teams, including programs from the ACC, Big East and Patriot Leagues," Anatol noted. "This schedule will provide us with excellent opportunities to test our squad and prepare for postseason success."
The Seawolves will kick off the 2024 season with an exhibition game against three-time reigning CAA champion, Hofstra, on August 16.
The team's regular season opener will take place on August 22 as Stony Brook hits the road to take on LIU before heading to St. John's on August 25 for a non-conference showdown.
The Seawolves then open their season playing host to the reigning MAAC Champion Rider Broncs, their first meeting since the 2021 season. The homestand then wraps up with a Tuesday night non-conference clash against George Washington on September 3.
CAA play begins for Stony Brook on September 7 down in West Long Branch, New Jersey as the Seawolves face off against Monmouth. The squad looks to get their first win over the Hawks in program history this season.
Stony Brook returns to LaValle Stadium against Charleston on September 14. The Seawolves look to continue their success against the Cougars after winning their previous two meetings.
The Seawolves travel down to North Carolina on September 21 for a CAA First Round rematch after falling to Elon in the postseason last year. In their regular season meeting, Stony Brook claimed a 4-0 victory with a dominating performance.
Stony Brook returns to the Island for a two-match homestand, facing off against Northeastern on September 27 before starting their October slate against St. Joseph's L.I. on October 1.
The Seawolves then hit the road to take on Campbell, the first meeting between these two squads after both recently joining the CAA.
Another two home contests are lined up next on the docket, with Stony Brook taking on Seton Hall on October 8 and Drexel on October 12.
The Seawolves competes in a trio of road matches to end the month, taking on CAA opponent UNC Wilmington on October 19 and closing out the non-conference slate against Lafayette on October 22 and Boston College on October 26.
Stony Brook concludes the regular season on its home pitch against William & Mary on November 2, seeking to redeem their scoreless tie from last season.
The CAA Men's Soccer Championship starts with quarterfinal action on November 7, followed by the semifinals and finals on November 10 and 16.
