RICHMOND, Va. – Five Stony Brook football players earned postseason All-CAA recognition, as announced today by the Coastal Athletic Association.

Dyshier Clary were named to the All-CAA First Team. Linebacker
Anthony Ferrelli earned Second Team honors, while wide receiver
Jayce Freeman was selected to the All-CAA Third Team and also received Honorable Mention as a kick returner. Cornerback
Miles McGoy rounded out the group with Honorable Mention recognition.
Dempster capped a remarkable season with 1,037 rushing yards and 14 touchdowns, adding a career-high 35 receptions for 292 yards. He recorded over 100 total yards in eight games—including four with more than 100 rushing yards—and scored multiple touchdowns in four contests, highlighted by three against Merrimack. With 3,119 career rushing yards, he ranks among the top three in program history and is second all-time in both career rushing touchdowns (35) and total touchdowns (36).
Clary earned First Team honors after leading the team with 14.5 tackles for loss for 52 yards—the seventh-most in a single season in program history—along with 6.5 sacks, six of them solo. He helped the defense allow the second-fewest rushing touchdowns and fifth-fewest rushing yards in the conference, finishing with 39 tackles, a fumble recovery, and three quarterback hurries. Clary recorded tackles in 10 of 12 games, including 4.5 tackles for loss and two sacks against No. 7/10 Villanova.
Ferrelli, a Second Team selection, totaled a career-high 109 tackles (52 solo, 57 assisted), ranking fifth in the CAA and 23rd in the FCS in both tackles and tackles per game. He added 6.5 tackles for loss, 1.5 sacks, his first career interception and forced fumble against Fordham, and three pass deflections. Ferrelli had at least four tackles in every game, including five contests with 10 or more tackles and a season-high 16 tackles with 2.0 tackles for loss against Maine. His 109 tackles tied for the third-most in a single season in program history.
Freeman set career highs with 41 receptions for 774 yards and eight touchdowns, leading the team in all three categories, earning Third Team All-CAA and Honorable Mention as a kick returner. He recorded over 100 receiving yards in three games, including a season-high 178 against Lindenwood, had multi-touchdown games in three contests, and scored a touchdown in each of the final three games. Freeman caught at least three passes in 10 of 12 games and averaged 112.8 all-purpose yards per game, contributing 354 kick return yards, including a career-high 157 yards and a touchdown against Monmouth.
McGoy earned Honorable Mention after setting career highs with 30 tackles (23 solo), eight pass breakups, and two fumble recoveries. He recorded at least two tackles in 10 of 12 games, including a season-high six tackles and a fumble recovery against Bryant, and five tackles against No. 7/10 Villanova. McGoy tied for fifth in the CAA in pass breakups, tied for the conference lead in fumble recoveries (12th in the FCS), and added a tackle for loss against N.C. A&T.
With their season-ending victory over Bryant, Stony Brook improved to 5-1 at LaValle Stadium this season and 9-3 at home dating back to last year—surpassing their total home wins from 2019–2023. The Seawolves finished 6-6 (3-3 CAA), and their 14 total victories since last season match the combined win total from that four-year span.
