Men's Track And Field Wrap Up Competition At 2025 CAA Indoor Championship

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va.- The Stony Brook men's track and field team wrapped up competition at the 2025 CAA Indoor Track and Field Championships on Thursday. As a team, the Seawolves earned points in 4 different events.

HIGHLIGHTS

Ethan Green scored points with a strong run in the mile run finals, finishing fifth with a season-best and PR time of 4:07.94.
Thomas Burfeind, Mario Xerri, Ryan Hesler, and Collin McLaughlin finished sixth and scored points in the 4x800m relay with a season-best time (7:52.79)
Walesky Nowak, David Onovo, Ryan Scarry, and Thomas Donohue finished sixth and scored points in the 4x400m relay, posting a season-best time of 3:29.51.
Henry Gartner scored points for Stony Brook in the 3000m, finishing seventh (8:23.07).
Hesler scored a point with an eighth-place finish in the mile run. His 4:13.40 clocking was a new PR.

"Pleased with the efforts we saw today and also because we saw a glimpse of what the future may hold for the program as a couple of our freshmen led the way," head coach Andy Ronan noted. "Ethan had a very good run in the mile, was in contention right up to the late stages, and came away with a scoring place and a 5-second improvement in his mile time. Ryan Hesler also secured a scoring spot with a gritty run. Henry battled hard in the 3000m and produced a top 8 spot."
