STONY BROOK, N.Y. – Stony Brook women's lacrosse head coach Joe Spallina announced the addition of transfer Emma Pearce to the program for the 2026 season.

Pearce joins the Seawolves' squad after playing collegiately at the University of Nottingham, and on the national level with Team England.

"Emma is someone who I have known a very long time and it has been great watching her game grow," Spallina said. "She's a dynamic player that will be a great addition to our team on day one."

With the England National Team, Pearce has competed at the ELF Women's U21 Championship and the Home Internationals Series in Great Britain.

"I'm super excited about the opportunity to play lacrosse for Stony Brook," Pearce said. "Having grown up in New York and with much of my family still here, returning to the U.S. and being able to play somewhere that feels like home means a lot to me. I can't wait to be a part of the team, add value in any way that I can, and help to continue the running success that Stony Brook is know for."

A trio of transfers, including Pearce, Reese Hjertaas, and Keira Martin, along with 10 incoming freshmen will build out Spallina's recruiting class for the 2026 season.
