7/28/2025 3:30:00 PM

STONY BROOK, N.Y.The Stony Brook men's basketball team announced its full non-conference schedule for the 2025-26 season on Monday. The 13-game stretch features eight home contests and one away tournament.

The season begins with three-straight home games, starting with the season opener vs. Farmingdale State on November 3. Then, on November 8, Stony Brook faces 2025 America East runner-up Maine. The Seawolves topped the Bears 74-72 last year to extend their winning streak against their old conference foe to 21 straight games. The team will wrap up its homestand on November 11 against St. Joseph's L.I.

Next up are a pair rematches with two Ivy League opponents from last season as SBU takes on reigning conference champion Yale in Connecticut on November 15, before returning home on the 20th to host Brown.

Daytona Beach is the Seawolves' next destination as the team is set to compete in the 2025 Sunshine Slam from November 24-25. They will begin their time in the tournament against Pacific on day one, before facing either the winner or loser of the Jacksonville vs. Bethune-Cookman game the next day.

Stony Brook closes out the month of November with a quick trip to California as the Seawolves face off with Loyola Marymount on the 28th.

December begins on the road as the Seawolves head to Pittsburgh to face Duquesne (Dec. 6) for just the second time ever. The team will then head back home to play Columbia (Dec. 9) in another Ivy League rematch from last year.

The homestand continues the following week with Central Michigan on December 13. This will be the second ever meeting between the teams as Stony Brook took the first contest 73-72 last November on a Collin O'Connor buzzer-beater.

In the final home non-conference game, the Seawolves take on another old America East rival when Albany comes to town on December 17. Stony Brook will then finish off the non-conference slate four days later with a road contest at Marist on December 21.
