STONY BROOK, N.Y.The Stony Brook University men's and women's cross country programs announced their schedule for the 2025 season. This season begins with a home meet, followed by five additional events leading up to championship season.

The Seawolves will open the 2025 season at home with the Stony Brook Season Opener on August 30. Following the home meet, Stony Brook will travel to New Britain, Connecticut, for the Ted Owen Invitational on September 20. After an almost two-week break, the Seawolves will return to action at the Paul Short Run, hosted by Lehigh University on October 3. Two weeks later, on October 17, Stony Brook will head to New Jersey for the Princeton Fall Classic.

The Seawolves will also compete at the IC4A/ECAC Championships that same day in the Bronx. Stony Brook will wrap up its regular season in Connecticut for the CCSU Mini Meet on October 24. Championship season will begin a week later with the CAA Championships on October 31 in Ocean County, New Jersey. This year's NCAA Northeast Regional is set to take place on November 14 in Hopkinton, New Hampshire. The Stony Brook men registered a 13th-place finish at the regional last year, and the women finished 15th. At the helm for his 26th season with the program is 12-time Coach of the Year and the reigning CAA Men's Cross Country Coach of the Year for a third consecutive year, Andy Ronan.

On the men's side, the reigning back-to-back-to-back CAA champions will go for a historic four-peat in 2025, with 14 student-athletes set to return from last year's championship team to go along with six newcomers. Headlined by a trifecta of returning All-CAA performers in Collin Gilstrap, Michael Hawkes, and Henry Gartner.

Looking to continue to be a constant threat in the CAA, the women will look to build off their fourth-place finish at last year's CAA championships. The Stony Brook women welcome back 12 student-athletes, including competitors at last year's NCAA Northeast Regionals, Amelie Guzman, Danielle Cirrito, and Miranda Gatto, to pair with five newcomers this season.
