Men’s Cross Country Finish 15th At NCAA Northeast Regional, With Gartner Securing All-Region Honors

HOPKINTON, N.H. — Championship season continued for Stony Brook men's cross country on Friday afternoon as it competed at the 2025 NCAA Northeast Regional Championship in Hopkinton, New Hampshire. Five out of the seven Seawolf runners finished in the top 150, highlighted by an All-Region performance from Henry Gartner. Stony Brook placed 15th out of 38 schools in the regional competition.

For the second consecutive year, Gartner was the Seawolves' top runner at the regional, as his 22nd-place finish secured him All-Region honors, finishing the course in 30:05.9.

Two more members of Stony Brook recorded top-100 placements, with Michael Hawkes (54th, 30:35.4) and Peter Fogarty (94th, 31:07.4) producing solid runs to finish inside the top-100. Ethan Green (123rd), Gavin Catherwood (133rd), Luca Maneri (152nd), and Ryan Hesler (245th) rounded out the field of Seawolf runners at this year's regionals.
