RICHMOND, Va. - In her fifth year competing at Stony Brook, Grace Weigele has earned her first career CAA weekly honor on Tuesday as she was named the Women's Track Athlete of the Week.

At last week's NYC Gotham Cup, Weigele was one of three Seawolves to come away with a win after placing first in the mile. Her time of 4:50.11 was not only six seconds ahead of second place, but was a new personal best. Weigele never trailed during the event, pacing the group of 43 runners for the entire run.

Weigele and the Seawolves are back in action this Saturday when they compete in the Bruce Lehane Scarlet and White Invite in Boston, Mass.
