RICHMOND, Va. — Stony Brook's Julia Fusco (Co-Offensive) and Hailey Huebner (Defensive) earned CAA Women's Lacrosse weekly honors, following a two-win week for the Seawolves. Huebner's Defensive Player of the Week nod is her third straight, while it marks the first of the season for Fusco.

Huebner logged six caused turnovers and seven ground balls for the week. The Seawolves surrendered eight goals in each of their wins over Rutgers and Monmouth, led by the efforts of the sophomore defender. She started the week with three ground balls and a trio of caused turnovers in the 11-8 win over the Scarlet Knights. Huebner followed that performance up with a similar line of four ground balls and three caused turnovers in the team's 18-8 win over the Hawks in the CAA opener.

Fusco amassed nine points in Stony Brook's two-win week. The Bayport, Long Island, native started with a pair of strikes against the Scarlet Knights in an 11-8 victory. She followed up a seven-point effort, scoring five times and handing out two assists in the Seawolves' 18-8 win over Monmouth. Fusco also added five ground balls in the conference opener in New Jersey.

Stony Brook prepares for another two-game week, beginning with Villanova in Philadelphia on Tuesday, March 17. Following the non-conference tilt with the Wildcats, the Seawolves visit Drexel in a rematch of last season's CAA Championship. Stony Brook and Drexel face off on Friday, March 20.
