BALTIMORE, Md. — The Stony Brook women's lacrosse team mounted a late push but ultimately fell to No. 9 Johns Hopkins, 13-11, on Sunday at Homewood Field. Seven Seawolves registered multiple points in the loss.

Johns Hopkins opened the game with five of the first six goals to take an early 5-1 lead late in the first quarter before Olivia Schorr found the back of the net to trim the deficit to three heading into the second.

The Blue Jays answered immediately after halftime, scoring four straight goals early in the third quarter to regain the lead and build a multi-goal cushion. Johns Hopkins added another late in the period and shut out the Seawolves to carry an 11-7 lead into the final frame.
