RICHMOND, Va. — Stony Brook men's lacrosse goalie
Tommy Wilk earned CAA Defensive Player of the Week honors. Wilk stopped 21 shots, holding a pair of opponents to single-digit goals in a two-win week for Stony Brook.
Wilk began the week with a 12-save performance in a victory over Iona. Stony Brook's defense, with the help of Wilk, held the Gaels scoreless for the entire second half and the final 32-plus minutes of action to complete the come-from-behind victory. The senior from Baltimore followed that performance up with nine saves in a win over Manhattan.
Stony Brook and Wilk return to action this Saturday, March 7 at Binghamton. The contest is set for a noon start in Binghamton, with the contest streaming live on MSG.
