RICHMOND, Va. - The CAA announced its all-conference teams on Friday, with Stony Brook guards
Erik Pratt and
Andrej Shoshkikj among the honorees. Pratt earned himself First Team All-CAA, while Shoshkikj was named to the All-Rookie team.
Pratt ended the regular season as the CAA's leading scorer in conference play with 20.1 ppg, making him the only player in the league to average over 20 a game. His 559 points on the year were the most by a Seawolf in the last decade and the third most in the program's Division I history. Pratt also dished out 108 assists and pulled down 141 rebounds in just under 1000 total minutes of play time. During the season, Pratt took home three CAA Player of the Week awards and a USBWA National Player of the Week honor following his second of three 30-point performances this year.
As for Shoshkikj, the freshman from North Macedonia made an immediate impact in his North American debut, finishing the regular season with 306 points and the third most steals in the CAA (31) during conference play. He also ended the season shooting .500 from the floor, .435 from behind the arc, and .956 from the charity stripe, setting him up to become just the 12th player in NCAA Division I history to ever go 50/40/90 over an entire year.Â
Forming one of the top offensive duos in the country, Pratt and Shoshkikj had 13 games this year in which they both scored in double figures. The team went 11-2 in these contests as the tandem averaged 38.4 ppg and combined for 499 out of the team's 1,053 total points (47.4%).Â
Pratt and Shoshkikj will look to lead the Seawolves in the CAA tournament, beginning this Saturday with a noon game vs. Campbell.
