Caporuscio, Altebrando and Huebner Earn Nike Lacrosse Midseason Media All-American Honors

STONY BROOK, N.Y. — Stony Brook's Isabella Caporuscio (Second Team), Mirabella Altebrando (Honorable Mention) and Hailey Huebner (Honorable Mention) all received Nike Lacrosse Midseason Media All-American distinction, as announced by the outlet on Wednesday.

During the preseason, Caporuscio checked in at No. 24 on Inside Lacrosse's Top 50 Players list. She also earned Preseason All-American nods from Inside Lacrosse and USA Lacrosse Magazine. Caporuscio is currently second in the CAA with 34 goals and her 42 points are fourth-most in the league. She also sits at No. 4 in the conference in ground balls and caused turnovers per game. Caporuscio also picked up CAA Offensive Player of the Week honors earlier this season.

Altebrando has come on strong during her first season on Long Island and is one of six freshmen to earn a Midseason All-American nod from Inside Lacrosse. The two-time CAA Rookie of the Week honoree has produced a team-leading 27 assists this season. Her 36 points through 11 games is second-most on the squad. Altebrando is second in the CAA with 2.45 assists per game and her 3.27 points per contest is good for sixth-best in the league.

Huebner, who notched CAA Defensive Player of the Week honors in four straight weeks, adds a Midseason All-American Honorable Mention mark to her ledger. An integral piece of the 11th-best scoring defense in the nation, Huebner is tops in the CAA and third in the NCAA with 37 caused turnovers through 11 games. Her 32 ground balls lead the team and are third-most in the conference.

Stony Brook and its trio of Nike Lacrosse Midseason Media All-Americans resume action tonight at Princeton. The Seawolves sit at No. 4 in the latest Division I Women's Lacrosse RPI and look to continue their climb, facing off with the Tigers in New Jersey at 6 pm. The contest will stream live on ESPN+ from Sherrerd Field.
