RICHMOND, Va. – For the second time this month, Ella Sanders and Damisi Osibodu earned themselves a pair of CAA weekly honors as the former took home Offensive Player of the Week and the latter picking up Defensive Player of the Week. 

The duo previously earned these two honors back on September 7 following their standout performances in the Kristen Dickmann Invitational.

Sanders paced the team with 34 kills (4.25 K/S) during the weekend sweep at William & Mary. She also recorded 30 digs (3.75 D/S) and 12 blocks (1.50 B/S) on defense. In Friday's match, she posted her fourth double-double of the year with 18 kills and 13 digs in the win. Then, the very next day, she nearly recorded her first triple-double with 16 kills, 17 digs, and a career-best seven total blocks. In the process, Sanders topped 700 career kills and 100 total blocks.

Osibodu had a historic weekend against her old team, leading the defense with 21 total blocks. After picking up seven on Friday, she shattered the program single-game record with 14 blocks on Saturday, the most by anyone in the CAA since 2023. This performance also helped the team break its single-game record for blocks with 23. 

Sanders now has three CAA Offensive Player of the Week awards, while Osibodu has two defensive honors.
