WASHINGTON (AP) -Ben Hostetler threw a 6-yard touchdown pass to Sidney Baker with 1:38 left in the second quarter for the only score in Georgetown's 7-0 win over Stony Brook Saturday afternoon.
The was enough to give the Hoyas (1-1) their first win under coach Kevin Kelly, despite Georgetown being outgained by the Seawolves (0-2) 340 yards to 230.
Hostetler finished 18-for-130 for 144 yards with a touchdown and one interception.
Stony Brook quarterback Josh Dudash went 7-for-10 for 65 yards, but was replaced by backups Andrew Garrett and Dan Sweeney in the third quarter.
Garrett completed 12 of 21 passes for 125 yards for the Seawolves, who drove down to the Georgetown 26 with 2:57 left in the fourth quarter but turned the ball over on downs.
