Alison Fields had 21 assists and eight digs, leading Stony Brook to a 15-10, 15-7, 15-9 win over Marist College Wednesday night at the McCann Center. The Seawolves (6-11) won for the third time in five matches while Marist fell to 0-15 on the season.
Rachel Goldsmith had 10 kills and 11 digs as the Seawolves collected 10 more kills and six more digs in the victory. Stony Brook committed just eight attack errors in the match in 92 attempts.
Cynthia Orengo was once again outstanding on defense with two block solos and six block assists. She also contributed offensively with six kills. Catrina Gordon had eight digs and Jaime O'Connor had eight digs.
The Seawolves host Seton Hall on Saturday at 5:00 and Quinnipiac on Sunday at 1:00.
