Stony Brook, N.Y. - Freshman Erin Byrnes was named Stony Brook Athlete of the Week for the week of Dec. 18-22.

Byrnes won both the one- and three-meter diving events against Central Connecticut on Saturday, the first time that she has won both events in one meet.

Byrnes won the three-meter event in just her second meet against Army. She also won the one-meter against Fordham on Nov. 15.
