Swim & Dive Scores 94 Points at Day One of 2026 CAA Championships

HAMPTON, Va. - Stony Brook swimming and diving opened competition at the 2026 CAA Swimming & Diving Championships on Wednesday Night. The Seawolves swam in the two relay finals, scoring 94 points across the 200-yard medley relay and the 800-yard freestyle relay.

The Seawolves first swam in the 200-yard medley relay on Wednesday, as Kunzang Sharchitsang, Pelagia Chazov, Michelle Vu, and Alanna DePinto represented Stony Brook. The four swimmers posted a solid final time of 1:44.18, good for sixth place and 48 points scored.

Later in the night, DePinto, Meredith Yuhasz, Carson Kien, and Francesca Baber competed in the 800-yard freestyle relay, finishing seventh with a final time of 7:36.93, helping score 46 points for the Seawolves.

With day one of competition now in the books, Stony Brook sits in a tie for sixth place with Campbell.

UP NEXT
Stony Brook is right back to it tomorrow with a day full of events in the pool and on the diving board. Swimming prelims will start at 9:30 am, followed by diving prelims at noon. Day two will then conclude with finals beginning at 5:30 pm.
